A notice has recently appeared for a proposed development which would reconfigure two current large blocks into 23 smaller lots at the top of Bellvista Blvd. The notice can be seen just before “Old Caloundra Rd” on Bellvista Blvd.
Though not directly impacting on Bellvista, Bells Reach and Arbour, the proposal may raise concerns that the entry to the proposed development is off Bellvista Blvd. It seems the entry access to the proposed blocks would be between the roundabout at Bellcarra Place and the roundabout at Caloundra Rd.
This section at the top of Bellvista Blvd is a traffic hotspot during school pick up and drop off times and the area can become all but gridlocked with school traffic.
The completion of the soon to be completed connecting road “Bells Creek Arterial” will provide an alternative for Brisbane headed traffic out of Caloundra. Bellvista Blvd may be then seen as a short cut passing through Baringa to connect with the upgraded new road.
If the proposed development featured in the photo above were to go ahead it makes the new State Government connecting road between Pelican waters Blvd and Aura Blvd an even higher priority.
