Bellvista and Bells Reach

The photos just below are of the newer section of our estate, Bells Reach.  A major feature of Bells Reach is its amazing parks in which residents can relax, exercise or just have some fun.

Click on each photo for a larger view.

As mentioned above a major feature of the Bellvista/Bells Reach Estates are the large park areas and playgrounds available on both sites. The two lakes at Canavan Gracie Recreational Park near the Bellvista Market Place are man made and are surrounded by parklands, playgrounds, BBQ facilities, public amenities, pathways and garden areas. This is a popular spot for all residents. This is a photo of what is locally referred to as “The Top Lake”.
The larger of the two lakes is this lake known locally as “The Bottom Lake”. It is home for a wide variety of birdlife and marine animals.”The Bottom Lake”.
This building sits beside “The Top Lake” and is known locally as “The Land Sales Office”. The Land sales Office was where many of the original residents signed their contracts to purchase their block of land from the original developers Lensworth or later from Stockland who acquired the estate from Lensworth. This will be a wonderful acquisition for the SCRC and will make an excellent “Community Meeting Place” when handed to the community in September 2014.BeCA (Bellvista Community Association) holds its “Public Meetings” here. There are 4 BeCA Public Meetings annually. The “Community Meeting Place”.
One of the features of the central park near the Bellvista Market Place is this sheltered playground. There is also a public tennis court in this photo. This is a wonderful spot for young families to enjoy.”Main Bellvista Park Playground Area & Public Tennis Court”.
The photo to the right is of the playing fields near the main lake area. Remember to click on a photo for a larger view! You can also spot the Bus Stop on the left hand side of this photo.”Playing Fields”.
The main park area (Canavan Gracie Recreational Park) boasts a BBQ area for use by residents and visitors. The electric BBQ’s are free and very close to the playground and tennis court. Public Toilet facilities are available as well. Quinn Park (formerly the Blue Park) at Bells Reach is an award winning play and free BBQ area for the family (Photo left). It has an exciting playground which is bound to keep youngsters entertained for hours.”Free BBQ’s, great playgrounds”.
Right beside and overlooking Quinn Park at Bells Reach is the delightful Pod Cafe. Quick snacks and refreshing drinks are available here as parents keep an eye on their children using the fantastic award winning playground area. You can have a light lunch or snack here at any time, 7 days a week!”Great and convenient Cafe.”
Also at Bells Reach is a new and exciting “Adventure Park” currently under construction. This is a great spot to do a circuit or two either on foot or on your bike, use some of the exercise equipment there or just sit back and relax in the great outdoors! It is designed for use by adults and youngsters alike.”Fun and Adventure”
Unity College is just across the road from the main park area (Canavan Gracie Recreational Park) and caters for over 1250 pupils from Preps through to the final years of school.”Unity College”.
The Bellvista Tavern is another wonderful addition for residents to enjoy for a place to sit quietly and chat or to enjoy a meal and a drink.”The Bellvista Tavern, open for everyone’s enjoyment and pleasure”.
The Bellvista Market Place has had an incredible impact on the ‘livability’ of the area. Boasting a range of services (doctor, hairdresser, Pharmacy and Bakery to name just a few) the shopping complex also includes Luke’s IGA Supermarket.”Bellvista Market Place”.
Plenty of footpaths and garden areas make a quiet stroll or family bike ride an absolute pleasure for residents.”Footpaths & Bike paths”.
As this photo shows, people are not the only ones who think Bellvista/Bells Reach is a great place to live, relax and enjoy life! A wide array of bird life is yet another feature of our area!

History Update

BeCA was given some photos of the estate which were taken mid 2002. They make for interesting viewing. They show the area around Shannon Cres just as stage 3 was selling. The photo here is just a sample of what you can follow up on the Bellvista History page of this website. You can check the photos out HERE. I hope you enjoy them. In the photo to the left the small blue roofed building on the right hand edge of the photo is the former Land Sales Office. A two storey home now occupies that block of land.
