BeCA has received a message from Hannah Williams. Hannah is one of the Stockland people looking after the development of Bells Reach and is heavily involved with the Community Garden and the development of parks and playgrounds.
James Ackerman who died following a tragic Rugby League accident over the weekend was a Bells Reach resident.
He passed away after a tackle during a local football game. James had a wife and 2 young children that the community are eager to support during this sad time. Stockland are arranging a collection point for donations for the family. BeCA has been asked to promote this worthy cause via the website and Facebook pages to spread the word that the Bells Reach Sales Office will have a donation box over the next two weeks (commencing Thursday June 25th).
Unfortunately Stockland does not have the capacity to accept monetary donations, but basic necessities (new items only) for young babies would be received. These could include babies’ necessities and the like or more substantial items.
Cash donations can made via The Butler McDermott Lawyers Trust Account, with the Bank of Queensland, 255 Queen Street, Brisbane for the Ackerman’s family: BSB 124001 Account 11500777 Reference 151181.
BeCA is delighted to assist in any way possible.
