There is a substantial concrete pour occurring today at the new Bambini Childcare Centre construction site and a second large pour is scheduled for Monday. Eventually the facility will cater for in excess of 125 children. The handover date is scheduled for mid February 2012, weather permitting.
BeCA continues to be active in the debate over the future of the Caloundra Airport. Members of BeCA have been involved with “Letters To The Editor”. These have been signed as by private community members.
BeCA is in contact with Cr Tim Dwyer, a major supporter of the Caloundra Airport, seeking his views on what could be a suitable solution to the concerns raised by our residents. BeCA has requested that we be able to ‘publish’ his possible solution here on the website. Cr Dwyer attends some of the Airport Forum meetings which BeCA also attends.
At this stage Cr Dwyer is the only person to supply an answer to BeCA’s questions on aspects of the Airport’s Opertaion which have been passed on to SCRC Airport Operations group. (See THIS Post). Cr Grosskreutz has responded but believes Cr Dwyer has already forwarded the queries to the appropriate SCRC area for a response.
Rumour has it that Cr Dwyer would like the Caloundra Airport to be moved from Cr Anna Grosskreutz’s division into his division. Cr Dwyer ‘s division covers much of the Caloundra industrial area, except for the Caloundra Airport.
