Our Bellvista Community Association website was setup for us Stockland. In the early days Stockland paid for the construction of the site, for the domain name (bellvista.com.au) and for the web hosting. Once BeCA became established we took over the covering the costs of web hosting and the domain name. Accounts were forwarded to BeCA for payment. The only problem was the account for the domain name was never forwarded to us for payment. Stockland no longer wanted the bellvista.com.au domain name so allowed the registration to lapse.
Therefore, when you went to check the website this morning it wasn’t there! Some hasty calls to Sydney and a quick EFT of an amount of money and the website is back! Many thanks must go to Steven Hartman of Safecom for expediting us back online as quickly as possible.
Don’t throw your Stockland Survey you received early last week out with the recycling tomorrow will you! BeCA wants all the surveys completed and returned to Stockland in the reply paid envelope which accompanied the survey or just pop it into the new Bells Reach Land Sales Office. If enough surveys are returned Stockland will donate $500 to BeCA. And with an unexpected bill today we need the cash!
So get that survey returned please!
Great to see the lawn mowing contractors back again. Things were beginning to look a tad untidy with the recent rain. But all is neat and tidy again. The Bellvista Gardens Team is concentrating on cleaning the biopods at the moment in readiness for a private contractor to take over. Spraying weeds again won’t be too far away either.
BeCA had its final Management Committee meeting for 2012 last night. We still have a couple of meetings to attend on behalf of the community. This week we have Mark McArdle’s Forum on the future of Caloundra and on Tuesday of next week we have the final Caloundra Aerodrome Community Forum. There will be reports on these meetings here on this website.
The Bellvista Gardens Team will make a special effort to pretty up Canavan Gracie Recreational Park prior to Christmas Carols on December 16th at around 5pm. That is a date for the ‘diary’.
Remember five to six pm on Sunday 16th December will be an hour to relax with friends and enjoy the twilight. An acoustic group will lead the singing with well known Christmas songs, and a choir will perform for residents. There will be Christmas CD giveaways and IGA Christmas colouring, craft and recipe books will be for sale: for $2.00 in support of local charity. BYO blankets or chairs. Things will be setup near the electric barbecues.
And don’t forget Movies in the Park, Bells Reach on December 8th. There will be food stalls there as well. The movie on show is “Babe”.
