Bells Reach residents can be the envy of residents living in Bellvista. As a “Greenfields” development, all new homes in Bells Reach have access to the National Broadband Network giving them excellent internet speeds and solid connections in comparison to many Bellvista home owners..
There are some residents in Bellvista who can’t even get an ADSL internet connection owing to a shortage of connecting ‘ports’. Those who do have the internet, can find that at 3pm when school has been dismissed, download speeds drop dramatically across Bellvista making some connections almost unusable.
A business at Bellvista Market Place which must have strong and decent internet connection to successfully carry out its business, has even gone to the extent of installing a ‘secondary’ wireless connection through the mobile phone network just have consistent and workable access to the internet for business purposes.
At Monday’s Public Meeting, Federal MP Mal Brough reported that Bellvista cannot expect to see the NBN installed here for at least another three years. Yes it is 2015 and yes we are classed as a developed country!
A solution is at hand. Flash Fibres of Caloundra contacted BeCA regarding their wireless internet option. They believe they can provide a stable and fast ‘unlimted’ plan for under $80 per month for residential clients, or have a further 25% per month discount plan for pensioner customers. There is a $399 installation fee.
Other residential and business plans are available.
Following the BeCA Public Meeting on Monday (which Flash Fibres had attended), they received 5 expressions of interest just from people attending the meeting. The ‘flyer’ below is provided for the information of Bellvista residents seeking an alternative to the internet service currently being provided. They may even be able to advise you on some ideas to enable you to get out of the contract currently binding you to an unsatisfactory ADSL Internet provider.
