Sunshine Coast Airport CEO Peter Pallot has confirmed he will make a presentation on the Caloundra Aerodrome Draft Master Plan at the BeCA Public Meeting on Monday November 5th. The venue is the ‘old’ Land Sales Office which is situated in the soon to be named Canavan Gracie Recreational Park on Lomond Cres at 6:45 pm. Also present and making a presentation will be the Minister for Energy and Water Supply, local M.P. Mr Mark McArdle.
Finally Snr Constable Peter Dickens will be in attendance as well to speak on issues effecting local house holders. We hope to have some of the 4 new families who now make Bells Reach their home attend the meeting.
This should be a bumper meeting and we are hoping for a great turn out of residents. BeCA meetings are public meetings and are open to everyone.
BeCA has been contacted by close friends and relatives of June Canavan and Keith Gracie expressing their delight at the successful submission made by BeCA to name the main Bellvista Park “Canavan Gracie Recreational Park”. June Canavan’s close friend Anne Gripper is heavily involved with the “June Canavan Foundation” and has expressed an interest in the Foundation conducting a BBQ for their members at the Park in the near future and possibly making it the venue for a small gathering on the anniversary of June and Keith’s accident on 11 August.
This morning the park looked a picture despite the recent lack of rain.
BeCA has been invited by Stockland to a meeting on Nov 12th to discuss the Old Land Sales Office being handed over to SCRC. Cr Baberowski will also be in attendance. This should be an exciting time for the Bellvista Community Association and should see the welcome addition of a wonderful community asset.
An issue raised by BeCA President Les Thomas on his recent tour of Bellvista with Cr Rick Baberowski was the condition of some of the bollards along the western side of Bellvista Blvd. SCRC workers were busy reinstating some of the bollards this morning.
BeCA suggested re siting the Shops ‘finger sign’ from the Grampion Drive/Lomond Cres roundabout to the southern side of the Bellvista Blvd/Dumbarton Drive roundabout. This may occur in the near future.
