For residents on the south eastern side of the estate it is lock up your doors and windows time as the strong south easterly winds send dust from the Bells Reach development into and over everything. Dust has found its way into homes and into backyard swimming pools as well. Even the 6 mls of overnight rain hasn’t been enough to dampen down the soil to slow the dust down. Stockland has been dampening down dusty areas frequently but the current strong winds just dry the dust out again sending it over nearby homes.
The lawn mowing contractor is working his way across the estate. The parks are looking fabulous with a recent mow and some rain in the last week or so. It makes Bellvista a great place to live with outstanding facilities for walkers, players and bike riders.
If only we could find some way to stop the litterbugs and then everyone would be happy, especially if we could stop the people who decide to throw rubbish from cars!
Get out into your parks and enjoy the wonderful parklands we have.

Remember too that the Bellvista Market Place first birthday celebrations are on this Saturday!
This is another task BeCA can cross of its “To Do” list. This stop in Stornaway Avenue has no facilities for passengers waiting to board the bus so seating will be very welcome.
SCRC continues to clear out growth from water-ways across the estate. This will aid water getting away during summer thunderstorms and hopefully avert any any flooding.
Remember too roadworks are due to begin near the Bellvista Blvd Caloundra Rd junction as early as Monday December 12th. Hopefully they will be completed early into the new 2012 school year. Mid February has been mentioned as the most likely date all roadworks will be completed.
