Translink wishes BeCA to arrange a meeting with residents to explain why bus stops were closed in Bellvista and Bells Reach and to listen to resident concerns over those closures.
Translink has several requests prior to confirming the meeting arrangements. They wish to restrict the numbers attending to around 50 and that the attendees be restricted to residents.
The proposed meeting would be conducted during the afternoon possibly next week or the week after and possibly on a Wednesday. This is fully dependent on the availability of a suitable venue. Previously Bellcarra Retirement Resort has made their meeting venue available for any meeting with Translink.
BeCA will most likely seek requests from residents to attend the meeting so as to maintain control over those coming along. Invitations will be available on a first come frst served basis and will be restricted in number as per Translink’s wishes. It will NOT be a Public Meeting.
Translink has requested that there not be any press in attendance
Keep your eye on the BeCA website for any updates for a meeting date and time> Once date and time are confirmed residents will be invited to request an invite to attend this important meeting and raise concerns with Translink face to face.
