The building commonly referred to as “The Land Sales Office” is situated on the lake near the tennis court. It is owned by Stocklands and the site includes the nearby tennis court. To many residents it is where they first committed to live in Bellvista as it was here many contracts to purchase blocks of land were signed. The Land Sales Office is no longer in use. All land blocks in Bellvista have been sold and it is suspected the building is a little too far removed from the proposed Bellvista2 to be a future major land selling centre. Some estimates put a value of $1,000,000 on the area.
BeCA gains access (with thanks to Stockland) four times a year to conduct its “Public” meetings. The site has car parking, toilet facilities and is an ideal size for “Public” meetings. Though we are not the owners nor do we have any stake in managing the facility, BeCA has been approached by smaller local groups to hire out the building for children’s dance classes and similar type activities. These enquiries are passed on to Stockland.
The question of “What is going to happen to the Land Sales Office?” is frequently raised at Public Meetings by residents. BeCA has always been keen to manage the building should SCRC ever take ownership of it. It is a perfect size for BeCA’s purposes and would be a great community asset for use by Bellvista residents.
