The water level of the lakes in Canavan Gracie Recreational Park have returned to normal following recent rains and the installation of a new bore water pump and so too has the swan population. Actually there are extra numbers of swans on the lake at the moment causing some commotion between two aggressive males!
In the past swans have regularly come to the lake to lay their eggs and raise their young. Regretfully with rather large eels living in the lake any cygnets are always in danger.
Council is again mentioning further bollards for Canavan Gracie to keep motorists off the sports fields there following another recent incident.
BeCA reports that many of the minor repairs required around some parks have now been attended to.
However one resident has forwarded a request to Council via the MyCouncil website to carry out an urgent cleanup and repair to Quinn Parks in Bells Reach. BeCA is watching the outcome closely.
