Preparations are well underway for the first newsletter for 2016 and preparations are well in hand for the first Public Meeting of 2016 to be conducted at the Bellvista Meeting Place at 6:45pm on Monday March 7th. All residents, landowners or persons who actually have their workplace in Bellvista or Bells Reach are welcome to attend and may vote.
It is a ‘public Meeting’ so everyone is welcome to attend, public member attendees are not able to vote.
At this stage we have 3 presenters as listed below. There may be an addition to this as required. For example quite often Stockland wish to make a quick update on any latest news. Of course BeCA welcomes any updates provided by Stockland or others.
1/ SCC Disaster Hub – weather permitting (as long as there isn’t a disaster at that time),
2/ Bill Gissane – Federal ALP Candidate for the seat of Fisher,
3/ Cr. Rick Baberowski,
Sunshine Coast Council Disaster Hub staff will present an informative presentation on being prepared for and informed during an emergency or disaster event.
The presentation will be a community education session on how to prepare your home or workplace in the case of an emergency such as a seasonal weather event. The Disaster Hub link provided, which can be found on the Sunshine Coast Council website gives residents up to date information on road closures, emergency contacts, council’s roles during an event, all of the necessary information one page.
