The site works for the new Parkside Cafe continue. The opening of the new cafe is expected in January 2014 and will be a great addition to the community.
And house building continues at a frenetic pace in Bells Reach itself. New stages are about to be opened in the next few days. Feedback from new residents in the new Bells Reach homes are that they just love it.
However along with many of us all over both Bellvista and Bells Reach, the dust is a problem, nothing 20mls of rain wouldn’t cure!
New residents are learning to live with the dust by keeping their homes locked up with windows shut and doors closed. A decent shower of rain will fix that problem.
The new Bells Reach Adventure Playground continues to attract many local residents and visitors to the area as well. It is not uncommon to see all tables in the playground area ‘booked’ by being setup with table cloths and goodies early in the day ready for a kid’s party later on!
Feedback from some new residents is that mobile phone coverage isn’t as good as it could be from a couple of the service providers.
The photo shows some of the building going on.
Local tradies are just loving all of the work available to them.
It is well worth a short detour for Bellvista residents to check out progress at Bells Reach.
And don’t forget it is only one week to the final BeCA Public Meeting due to be held at the Old Land Sales Office at 6:45pm on Monday Nov 4th (Melbourne Cup Eve).
We have some interesting speakers due at this meeting including Kevin Hegarty from Sunshine Coast Health Services who will bring us all up to date on the new Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
We also expect local MP Mark McArdle to attend. We will be keen to hear his views on state government funding for the development of a satellite helicopter training facility which would remove the vast majority of continuous repetitive helicopter circuits from over our homes.
BeCA has recently been notified that the next Caloundra Aerodrome Forum meeting is to be held in Council Offices, Caloundra at 5:30 pm on Wednesday November 13. It is at this meeting BeCA will be seeking answers to questions posed HERE.
