Bellvista II is the interim name for the new development recently approved by the ULDA. The new name will be released shortly and will be visible when signs for the new estate are erected.
The current “Bellvista” entry statements at the entry to Bellvista Blvd and at Bellcarra Place will need to be removed to allow roadworks to occur. Resident input onto the where Bellvista signs may be relocated will be sought.
The Bellvista II boundary will be marked out with a new fence in the next week or so. The fence will made from shadecloth and will be printed similar to the shadecloth fence around Stockland’s Birtinya development.
Equipment will begin moving onsite beginning Monday September 19th.
Work is due to begin shortly on the haulage road. It is to be a gravel road and will follow the route of existing tracks on the site. Stockland is awaiting approval from the ULDA. Following approval, the construction of this road will then be a high priority task.
A temporary Sales and Information office will be built by the end of October on a spot roughly adjacent to the end of Kilbride Court within the new development area. A display village will be built approximately adjacent to Kylemore and Kinross Courts and is expected to be completed mid 2012.
The first home sites to be released (Stage 1) will be adjacent to Unity College playing fields with new residents moving in around Christmas 2012.
The slip lane u-turn facility adjacent to Bellcarra Place and the creation of an extra left turn only lane at the roundabout with Caloundra Rd are ULDA development conditions and will most likely be constructed towards the end of the year and into early 2012. The road is busiest at school drop off and pick up times. It is anticipated most work will be done (weather permitting) over the Christmas School holiday period and outside of school term dates.
Stockland will provide an update on Bellvista II at the next BeCA Public Meeting 6:45 pm on November 7th at the Land Sales Office.
