The photo above provides a further update on the progress of construction of the bridge across the Lamerough Creek. Eventually it will connect with the new Bells Creek Arterial road currently under construction beginning at the Caloundra Rd roundabout near the Corbould Racecourse. The dirt road in the foreground is the “Haul Road”.

The arrangements for lot sales in Caloundra South and the completion of the Stage 1 of the Bells Creek Arterial have been clarified for BeCA.
BeCA understands that sales for blocks just south of Bellvista, Bells Reach and Arbour will be available shortly for those wishing to buy ‘off the plan’. The extension of Bellvista Boulevard south into Aura will be required to be completed prior to the first stages being registered. Builders will be able to commence construction as blocks register, which is forecast towards the end of the year. The internal connection road to Bells Creek Arterial is not required to be completed for first stages to be registered and construction of homes to commence.
Builders’ traffic will utilise Bellvista Boulevard once this road is completed. No builders traffic will be able to utilise the haul road from Caloundra Industrial Estate due to HSE risks.
Completion of the Bells Creek Arterial Road is required to be completed by June 2017 however is forecast to be completed by the end of 2016, prior to any new home being occupied in Caloundra South.
At this stage sometime around October is the earliest road construction could be completed according to early estimates. Weather will play a major role in the eventual completion date of Stage 1 of the Bells Creek Arterial.
Over the next 12 months or so, Stockland will consider how it will stage its move from the current Sales Office site at Bells Reach to Aura.
Sunshine Coast Council is in the process of ‘taking over’ some of the public works (maintaining some parks, gardens etc) in Bells Reach with continued assistance from Stockland.
