The new toilet block at the main park will be great for people using the BBQ facilities and the playground areas beside the lake. Building should commence shortly. Toilet blocks can bring a few problems with them and be an attraction for undesirables and inappropriate behaviour.
It is time for all Bellvista residents to be vigilant and report any inappropriate behaviour around the tennis court playground area even before the new toilet block is built. There has been some vandal damage there recently which raises concerns for what may happen when the toilet block is built.
If you live nearby to the playground/tennis court area and spot any inappropriate behaviour could you please ring the Caloundra Police on (07) 5439 4444 immediately and report it. The more reports that are made, the more notice the authorities will take, and the more frequently the police will respond. You can use this number to report inappropriate behaviour anywhere on the estate.
Generally behaviour on our estate is excellent and it would be great to keep it that way. Let’s all pull together and stop inappropriate behaviour by calling the police before it becomes a problem for Bellvista residents.
Here is a notice to parents of young children riding bikes or scooters near the playground area beside the tennis court. Some smaller children on bikes have been swooped by a magpie near the area. It seems to swoop some people and not others. Be careful if you have a young bike or scooter rider near this spot. It hasn’t harmed anyone but can give unsuspecting riders a nasty fright.
A further reminder that the next Public Meeting for the Bellvista Community Association is to be held on Monday November the 8th 6:45 pm at the former Land Sales Office near Lake Bellvista. Councillor Anna Grosskreutz will be in attendance and will speak on the latest developments regarding the duplication of Bellvista Blvd, emergency access to and from the estate, the school bus stop at the entry to Bellcarra Place and the foot crossing at the foot of the hill on Bellvista Blvd. Another major focus of her report will be on the Caloundra South development and Bellvista2. There will be an opportunity for residents to ask questions from the floor.
This is a “public” meeting so all interested persons are invited to attend.
