Don’t forget tonight’s Bellvista Community Association Public Meeting at 6:45 pm at the Old Land Sales Office, Lomond Cres Bellvsita, just beside the lakes. There will be several speakers giving presentations. There still has not been an RSVP from new Councillor Rick Baberowski but we are hopeful of a late minute appearance. BeCA has been told today is the swearing in day for all successful Councillors so Rick may be involved elsewhere.
BeCA has learnt that around 25% of votes in the recent SCRC Councillor elections were either informal or that some voters just did not vote.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if people held onto fast food wrappers etc in their cars instead of tossing them out of their car windows and littering our streets?
There isn’t much value in giving those irresponsible litterers a blast here as they wouldn’t be the kind of people who read the BeCA Website or Newsletter.
We have several wonderful local residents who voluntarily collect litter during their walks around the estate. BeCA reckons they deserve a friendly ‘toot’ on your car horn when you see them doing their work.
BeCA has obtained some “Picitup Bags” as seen on TV Commercials involving some modern sporting heroes. Hopefully a Bellvista store or establishment will agree to be the co-ordination centre for residents to collect their Picitup bags.
You can learn more about Picitup HERE.
