The BeCA AGM is less than one month away (August 6th). Stockland will be making a presentation at the meeting as well as Cr Baberowski. Local MP Mark McArdle will be present and will be speaking. Representatives from Bellvista Tavern will be there to provide an update on how the Tavern is progressing.
The meeting will see the election of the BeCA Management Committee for 2012/13.
Nomination forms are available here and should be in the hands of the Secretary by 4pm Monday 23rd. Drop BeCA an email (here) for details on where to drop your completed nomination form off to participate in the election. Unsuccessful nominees will be invited to join a BeCA Sub-Committee which for all intents and purposes mean they will be ‘on’ the Management Committee.

Thanks Stockland for repairing the tennis net. If you spot anyone ‘sitting’ on the net or misusing it, a friendly reminder that inappropriate behaviour causes damage to the net may be appropriate.
For the first time BeCA will not have to provide chairs for a Public Meeting. Stockland have fitted the old land sales office with 40 new chairs. Thankyou Stockland. Previously BeCA has had to arrange for 40 chairs from Unity College which BeCA has had to collect and return for each meeting. We thank Unity for their generosity but with the supply of 40 chairs by Stockland we will not need to do so in the future.
BeCA notices the School Zone sign on Stornaway Avenue has been repositioned by SCRC to now be in clear view.
The July edition of the Bellvista Connector was sent for printing last Friday and should be available for delivery later this week. Major inclusions in this edition of “The Connector” is a report from Cr Baberowski, an invitation to all residents to the AGM, updates on Bellvista Blvd, Playgroups, assistance available for elderly residents and a summary of recent happenings especially for those residents who do not have internet access.
This website is the major channel of communication to the community, However not everyone has internet access. BeCA endeavours to keep these residents up to date with news via the Bellvista Connector or on the BeCA Section of the Community Notice Board at Bellvista Market Place.
Late Update: Local MP Mark McArdle has informed BeCA that he is required to attend a “Community Cabinet Meeting” in Northern Queensland and is unable to attend BeCA’s AGM. He will attend the Public Meeting, November 2012 instead.
