On Friday the new playground equipment for under 5 y.o children was installed in the park in Rawson St. It would have been usable Friday afternoon so by this time it may be well used. BeCA has been pursuing this for some time with the SCRC and we are delighted to see this playground now suitable for all children. The photo shows the equipment readied to be installed.
BeCA has suffered another hiccup with the renaming of the main park Canavan/Gracie Park. SCRC has decided the park is still owned by Stockland so all paperwork relating to the renaming has been passed onto them for consideration. BeCA is aware that a small portion of the main park is owned by Stockland especially the area surrounding the carpark area. The area extends about 20 metres south from the carpark then runs west to the tennis court area. However the vast majority of the park is maintained by the SCRC as it is their subcontractors who mow the grass and maintain the lake!
