When first created, the park’s play equipment was designed for older children. As a first home buyers area with young families, BeCA urged the installation of equipment suitable for younger children. This was added in due course but unfortunately the new equipment was placed outside the protection provided by the sunshade. The equipment become hot to the touch during the heat of summer and couldn’t be used.
BeCA sought to have the sunshade cover extended to ensure the new equipment could be used 12 months of the year.
The extension recently constructed by Council now means the new equipment will receive adequate year long protection.
