The poorly designed car park and footpath levels just outside the Tavern at Bellvista Market Place claimed another victim last night. An older Bellvista resident was leaving the Tavern after Trivia when she failed to notice the variation in level between the footpath and a car park space.
She fell heavily skinning her knees, twisting her ankle and bruising her shoulder as she tried to break her fall.
This is not the first time that a resident has been hurt with these unmarked changes in level between footpaths and car park spaces at Bellvista Market Place.
BeCA has again alerted Pratt Property to the safety concern. These are hard enough to see during the day let alone at night.
BeCA is hopeful the curbs will be marked to improve resident safety.
The large pieces of concrete you may have seen at the entry to the new Bells Reach development are for the new area’s “entry”. Below to the left is a photo of one of the large pieces of concrete prior to its installation, to the right is an artists’ impression of the finished product.
