Pathway Links

By BeCA Administration Dated : 01-07-2016

BunningsNow that Council elections are all settled, BeCA is joining with Cr Baberowski to discuss completing two pathway links around the estate.  Cr Baberowski has already walked the proposed missing link between Grampion Drive and the new Arbour estate.  You can see the entry to this pathway in the photo below.  Despite what the sign says, this land is Council owned land.  There may need to be a realignment of any new pathway as the Grampion Drive entry in the photo would not be safe for pedestrians to use as it is close to a bend in the road.

Arbour

The second proposal that BeCA has for Cr Baberowski is a direct link between the bus stop near Bellcarra Place on Bellvista Blvd and the pathway which runs behind Bunnings and then joins our estate to the main pathway into Caloundra.  The new pathway link (in the top photo) would enable pedestrians to walk safely beside Bellvista Blvd from the roundabout at Dumbarton Drive directly up to Caloundra Rd.

Disabled residents who use motorized scooters to get about would find completing this pathway link of major importance and allow them easier and more direct access to Caloundra Rd.

BeCA hopes to meet with Cr Baberowski sometime in July.
