The two lakes in the centre of Canavan Gracie Recreational Park are having the lilies and red azolla removed. The contractor collects and bags the refuse and carts it away. It took two days to clean the top lake and it should be another two days to complete the second and larger lake.

It appeared to be common sense that if Bells Reach was to be connected to the National Broadband Network it would be commercially viable to do Bellvista as well. Unfortunately this is not the case.
The National Broadband Network (NBN) rollout is occurring in two separate phases, (1) to all ‘new’ areas and (2) the timetabled rollout to all houses currently serviced by Telstra landlines.
Once the NBN Co began its rollout, Telstra were no longer required to provide adsl and landline phone services to all new estates. This role would be taken over by NBN Co under a process being monitored by the ACCC.
None of the homes in Bells Reach has a landline phone or internet service at this stage. Instead they will be connected to the NBN. Work to connect all Bells Reach homes to the NBN is happening now as you read this item.
Bellvista is currently connected to Telstra services. There is no ‘immediate’ plan to connect Bellvista to the NBN. An NBN rollout plan for the next three years has been put in place and Bellvista is not on that plan.
However things do change. Areas on the Sunshine Coast which were not on the three year plan have recently been added. BeCA may pursue this option if residents see this as a priority.
You can check the NBN three year rollout plan HERE.
