Items covered included the Aura Opening, recent meetings attended by representatives and some thoughts on the Newsletter program for 2016.
Newsletter advertisers were discussed as a vacancy has arisen. Our Treasurer will be contacting in turn those who have indicated an interest in advertising in the Newsletter. The list of waiting advertisers is quite lengthy and some have been waiting for years. Hopefully any vacancy will be filled in the next few days.
The upcoming AGM was discussed and the process for the 2015 AGM on Monday November 2nd at the final BeCA Public Meeting was finalized. The AGM requirements will be kept to a minimum at this meeting with reports being written and available to the public.
The format of the final November 2nd Public Meeting at the Bellvista Meeting Place was discussed but we still await confirmation from several bodies.
We are hopeful the evening will begin at 5PM when there will be a display of various Emergency Services. The Fire Brigade, Police, Red Cross, District Crime Prevention, and Neighbourhood Watch have been invited and have indicated they may attend. There will be a display/recruitment drive for the SES, Fire Brigade and the new Lions Club.
A free sausage sizzle donated by the Lions Club will be available as well for all to enjoy.
All are invited to attend.
The final BeCA Public Meeting will then take place with guest speakers including local Federal MP Mal Brough, Cr Baberowski and Local State Government MP Mark McArdle at 6:45pm.
It should be a bumper night and we hope to get as many residents young and old to enjoy various aspects of this terrific day.
