At the close of nominations for BeCA Management Committee members for the upcoming elections at the Annual General Meeting, the number of nominations equaled the number of vacancies. Therefore those who nominated will be ‘elected’ uncontested at the AGM.
There are no new faces on the Committee for 2012/13:
President, Les Thomas, Secretary, Debye O’Reilly, Treasurer, Kerri Baxter and 5 Committee Members, John Lehmann, Yuki Worsch-Smith, Bob Smith, Ian Eather and Neal Costello.
Yesterday two BeCA representatives met with the management of the Bellvista Tavern at the suggestion of the new Councillor Rick Baberowski. The proposal raised will be discussed in depth at the AGM.
Pratt Property have instigated some improvements to aid parking and pedestrians around the Tavern following another fall recently. The concrete blocks will further highlight to pedestrians the edge in the concrete between the pathways and the carpark area.
There could be further yellow line marking along the edge to further highlight the danger.

Thanks Pratt Property for responding to BeCA’s request.
SCRC has ‘appointed’ a parks and gardens worker to oversee the maintenance around the parks etc on the estate. This employee will keep an eye on all facets of the parks and carry out maintenance as required. BeCA has already made itself known to the worker who has experience working for the previous developer of the Kawana Island estate .
