Stockland are preparing to build an extension of the dedicated cycleway which travels into Baringa and Caloundra South. Stockland has informed BeCA the dedicated cycleway will follow the eastern side of Bellvista Blvd from what is locally known as the ‘Bunnings Footpath’ and connect with the almost completed dedicated cycleway at Aura Blvd. Cyclists will then enjoy a dedicated cycle way for much of the length of Bellvista Blvd when work is completed sometime in February 2017.
As a part of this project, a further pathway is to be built to connect the ‘Bunnings Footpath’ and the bus stop on Bellvista Blvd near Bellcarra Place.
Construction will start next Tuesday, October 4 on the two-way dedicated cycleway and footpath along Bellvista Boulevard. There may be some traffic disturbances in the area during construction but BeCA will keep you updated.
BeCA believes Aura Blvd will be the name of Bellvista Blvd from the Arbor roundabout to further south.
Currently, the feature walls are being constructed on the new bridge on Aura Blvd. Road surfacing is just about complete and only drainage connections and the final landscaping work is being done. Road line marking has not been completed either.
