This will allow the ground to dry out following over 500mls of rain already in 2011.
Many of the parklands on the estate currently look a little shabby with a quick mow missing some spots and not getting close to plants and curbs. Had the mowers been set to cut any lower they may well have been clogged with cut grass and slowed the job down.
Residents will need to put up with even more unsightly parks if the happenings at Little Mountain Common are anything to go by. The photo below was taken this morning and shows where there has been a second lawn cut and the cut grass doesn’t improve the cosmetic outcome. As the photo shows, some areas over there are still much too wet to mow again. The first mow at Little Mountain Common was about a week ago.
BeCA has contacted SCRC to confirm when the next mow may occur weather permitting.
