There are 6 Rims or Dslam boxes around Bellvista which provide ADSL internet connections. There is one (G 100) on O’Reilly Drive near the intersection with Balmoral Bvd. Another in the walkway behind the units in Prow St (G 104). A third is in Cougal Circuit (CA 107) near the waterway while there is a fourth (CA 115) in the walkway connecting Lomond Cres with Griffen St. There is a fifth one in Springbrook (CA 111) near the park. There is a 6th box (CA 113) which serves homes around Crater St and also around Feathertop Circuit. I don’t know where this box is situated.
Of these boxes is seems only 2 (G100 and G 104) have been ‘top hatted’ as per the photo above which means they have been upgraded to add more connections and the speed improved to 20MBps.
The other boxes like this one in Cougal Circuit have not been upgraded and are limited to ADSL (8MBps). It is almost the luck of the draw as to which box you have been connected. As a general rule, the older sections of Bellvista are connected to the upgraded equipment but some new and quite nearby residences have been connected there as well.
The major connection to this area appears to be is via the top box located in O’Reilly Drive. Recent work near this box shows evidence of initial NBN connection work. The photo below shows a new NBN labelled pit just beside G100.Check the download maps from the links below and see to which box your home may be connected to for your ADSL service.
