Late last week Stockland advised BeCA and the community that due to unforeseen circumstances roadworks would continue along Stornaway Avenue but traffic control would only occur during 10 am and 2 pm thus avoiding the busy school pick up and drop off times.
However as the new childcare centre being built near the corner of Stornaway Avenue and Lomond Cres approaches completion later this week, there will be numerous ‘deliveries’ of equipment. One such delivery occurred this morning around 8:15 am. The delivery truck was forced to ‘double park’ in the midst of busy school drop-off traffic causing a disruption to parents arriving to drop their children off.
BeCA understands contractors at the Childcare Centre have been requested to, when possible, have deliveries completed outside of school drop off and pick up times.
