BeCA has informed Sunshine Coast Council, the Police and Stockland of the graffiti which has appeared at the Bellcarra Place roundabout on Bellvista Blvd. Hopefully the eyesore will be removed sooner rather than later.
There is also a partially collapsed NBN concrete pit cover in the middle of the footpath just as you enter the new Arbour Estate in Bellvista Blvd. It appears a heavy vehicle may have driven over the pit during maintenance causing the concrete to partially give way. This remains a hazard for pedestrians and Stockland has been informed. In this case BeCA went to Stockland as they are in the midst of building the Arbour estate and will have ongoing communication with the NBN contractor.
It is not the sole responsibility of BeCA to report incidents relating to vandalism.
The responsibility falls back on all members of the community to work together on these issues. The Sunshine Coast Council has an excellent reporting process for Service Requests via their website. Take a few moments to check the process out by visiting http://www.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au/sitePage.cfm?code=request-service You may have to register at the site but once you have registered your information remains stored and further Service Requests can be made quite quickly.
By registering for your Sunshine Council “My Account”, you will have easy access available to you for many of Council’s services.
All the contact information for the local police or Council you require is available on the BeCA website by clicking on the ‘Links’ tab. If you do not get any satisfaction from your reporting, then BeCA may be able to help.
