The photo above was taken recently at the suspected site of the new mobile phone tower to be constructed in bushland between Unity College/Arbour and Baringa.
It had been indicated to BeCA that the tower was expected to be operational before Christmas this year but as the photo above shows, this is not likely at all.
Our local State government member Jason Hunt has been following up on the installation which became an issue for many local residents. At this stage there isn’t any concrete news on on when the tower will become available.
Over the last week or so many residents have found their mobile phone service deteriorated markedly with customers losing service for periods of the day.
BeCA will keep residents updated on any news of the tower’s construction timetable.
