BeCA is extremely pleased to see that the dangerous crossing point on Bellvista Blvd is being moved closer to the Bellvista Blvd – Dumbarton Drive roundabout. The concrete for the pathway is being poured this morning.
There is a concrete mixer taking up all of one lane on Bellvista Blvd and it is currently school drop off time. Half the road is closed and traffic is held up as alternate road users have a turn at exiting or entering the estate.
It is bedlam. There were many upset and angry drivers in the queue waiting their turn to get through and there was some abuse for the traffic controllers. Why couldn’t the concrete pour have been delayed until after school drop-off time?
There will be many people late for work or school.
Why do contractors ever decide to do this? This is a ludicrous position for all residents. In one of the photos below you can see an ambulance held up in the traffic while it awaits its turn to leave the estate. Hopefully this isn’t an emergency case! This is further evidence of the crucial need for a second entry road into the Bellvista Estate!
