Despite BeCA moving into hibernation over the Christmas period, there is still lots happening “behind the scenes”.
The mowing sub-contractors continue to do a great job on our parks keeping the grass under control.
There is no further news regarding the personnel who will be involved as the 2015 Bellvista Gardening Team.
BeCA has requested Stockland follow up on on illegal right turns into Bellvista Blvd from Indigo Rd. Both Stockland and BeCA have approached Caloundra Police over this dangerous behaviour.
Shadforths need to use truck & dogs to deliver road materials for the Bellvista Boulevard intersection upgrades. The alternate to this is for them to use small body trucks which would more than double truck movements and push-out the works program, thereby taking a whole lot longer and spilling into the school term. They have committed to these deliveries being outside standard peak-traffic times. BeCA believes this is in the best interest of all and should enable the proposed upgrades to be completed prior to the beginning of the 2015 school year.
BeCA continues to pressure both the local MP and Councillor on a final signing off of the Satellite Helicopter Training Facility. Cr Rick Baberowski is following up and shares our concerns regarding the final two signatures we were told several months ago were required to set the new arrangements in stone. Several months seems a long time to get two signatures!
The final Newsletter for 2014 is nearing completion and should be delivered to all Bells Reach and Bellvista homes by mid December!
