“Isn’t it marvellous” was a comment made by one of our residents this week. Of course he was referring to Bellvista Market Place and the new IGA Supermarket and other shops and services there. How handy it is for residents to pop in and pick up their needs and all within easy walking distance.
Despite being a public holiday today, the supermarket is open and serving people. Many morning walkers now have a shopping bag in hand as they incorporate picking up some daily needs or the morning newspaper from the bakery or supermarket while enjoying an early morning walk.
Another resident commented on the meat pies he gets from the local bakery. As a former caravanner, he has become an ‘expert’ on pies from bakeries all across the east coast of Australia. He reckons the pies from the local bakery are right up there with the better ones!
An elderly resident was unable to get in to see his regular doctor in Caloundra for a minor health issue so visited our local doctor. He got an appointment the same morning with the local doctor, Dr Greenwood, and was extremely happy with the treatment and service he received. And there is a Chemist shop right next door too!
