Indigo Rd/Bellvista Blvd Intersection Reopens Friday

By BeCA Administration Dated : 28-09-2015

IndigoAs predicted, the Indigo Rd/Bellvista Blvd was closed this morning (Monday).  The only access residents and visitors currently have to Bells Reach is via Bells Reach Drive.

The intersection was originally only to be closed for two days to complete that section of the Sewer Upgrade works.  However Stockland has just received the go ahead to re configure the intersection to permit a right hand turn from Indigo Rd into Bellvista Blvd.

BeCA understands traffic will not be permitted to make a right hand turn from Bellvista Blvd into Indigo Rd when heading northwards along Bellvista Blvd.  This traffic should use the Bellvista Blvd/Stornaway Avenue roundabout into Bells Reach Drive.

Because of the extra works to reconfigure the intersection, it will now be closed for a further two days, reopening (if all goes to plan and weather permits) on Friday.

Stockland expects this added delay to the reopening of the intersection will not phase Bells Reach residents as the legal inability to make a right hand turn from Indigo Rd into Bellvista Blvd has been seen as not required by many motorists who openly break the law and make an illegal turn.

However both BeCA and Stockland will continue to urge all drivers to exercise extreme care and patience at this intersection when completing a right hand turn at any time.  Care and patience will be required at all times but especially during school pick up and drop off times.
