BeCA is trying its hardest to get a small indicator which can be placed on the letterbox out to residents regarding Halloween.
The sticker/indicator goes on your letterbox and says that you are happy or not happy to be visited by Trick or Treaters on Halloween this Friday, October 31st.
BeCA strongly urges that Trick or Treaters be carefully monitored by their parents or an older responsible sibling as they do their trick or treating rounds.
In this day and age, regretfully, parents must remain vigilant regarding the safety of their children at all times.
Parents should also remind their children to be aware that Halloween isn’t accepted by all residents so they may need to be prepared to be disappointed at some times.
Trick or Treaters should always be polite and courteous during their rounds. Residents should also remain courteous and either be a part of the festivities or politely decline.
But the most important thing that Trick or Treaters should be aware of is to have a great fun time!
And another reminder that the final block buster BeCA Public Meeting is on this Monday November 3rd, at 6pm. We will be graced by the presence of the Sunshine Coast Mayor, Mark Jamieson and the 6pm start is at his request.
Some BeCA Committee members had the pleasure of meeting Mayor Jamieson at the recent official handover of the Bellvista Meeting Place. Mayor Jamieson came across as friendly and extremely approachable chap and this is a great opportunity to meet and hear the man ‘in the flesh’. We look forward to a bumper turn out at the new Bellvista Meeting Place 6 pm Monday Nov 3rd.
Also in attendance at this meeting will be Kevin Hegarty Chief Executive, Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. Kevin will be providing a presentation on the progress of the construction of the new Sunshine Coast University Hospital. Kevin has spoken at our meetings before and his been informative and entertaining.
