Around 150 visitors attended the maze in Huntley Place last night which was a lot more than originally catered for. Compliments from visitors to Stuart and family were numerous and generous.
It took around 2 days hard work to get it all up and running and the event went off with hardly a hitch.
The vast majority of people were well behaved so it was disappointing a small decoration was missing after the event. The kids had a great time.
Parents with strollers was one thing which was unexpected. The maze hadn’t been constructed with strollers in mind but rest assured it will cater for them next year.
So on behalf of the community a big thanks to Stuart and his family.
Stuart has some ideas to improve next year’s event, one is to have a start and end time and the other major outcome was more ideas for improving the maze design for 2014.
I am sure a few other resident helpers to assist with the setup won’t go astray either along with a lot more treat bags!
