These two vehicles spotted this morning (Wednesday) on the last Bellvista Blvd roundabout at the entrance to Bells Reach are National Broadband Network Company sub-contractors pulling cables to connect Bells Reach residents to the National Broadband Network (NBN).
Once connected Bells Reach residents will enjoy the latest technology giving them access to super speed internet and telephone services.

BeCA’s Annual General Meeting is due for August and it is at the AGM that the Bellvista Community Association Management Committee will be elected for 2013/14. At this stage there is at least one definite vacancy for any interested residents of Bellvista or Bells Reach to become involved.
Too many people wanting to be involved is a problem we would love to have. ‘Extra’ interested residents can become Sub-Committee members, can attend Management Committee Meetings and participate in discussions as if a Committee Member. They do not have ‘official’ voting rights but it isn’t often any issue comes down to an ‘official’ vote.
Go on, become involved! Contact BeCA on either email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. Every volunteer organisation improves with the introduction of new ‘fresh blood’!
BeCA President Les Thomas had an impromptu meeting with two SCRC Staff carrying out yet another inspection of the Old Land Sales Office for consideration as a future Community Facility. Mr Thomas said that although the current structure may not tick all the SCRC’s boxes for requirements to be a “Community Facility’, its position right in the centre of Bellvista would more than overcome any criteria shortfalls. A purpose built structure on a parcel of land made available by the developer could finish up being at an out of the way site some distance away and a deterrent to community involvement.
BeCA continues to liaise with Stockland regarding the missing chairs which created a seating shortfall at our last Public Meeting.
Our next BeCA Public Meeting will be conducted in the Old Land Sales Office at 6:45pm on Monday May 6th. It is a meeting focusing on various “Recycling” initiatives. A senior representative from Sunshine Coast Airport will be in attendance and provide an update on the Caloundra Aerodrome Master Plan recently approved by Council. Peter Pallot, the Sunshine Coast airport CEO is currently on leave. “General Business” will provide a forum for residents to raise any issues of concern.
