The flashing sign on Bellvista Blvd, (see left) warns drivers that work on the new bus stop near Bellcarra Place will begin next week, the first week of the school holidays. Work was deliberately delayed until the school holiday period to cause the least holdup to motorists on Bellvista Blvd. Traffic is lighter on Bellvista Blvd during school holidays because there are no school pick up or drop off duties for parents.
Magpies are causing few problems with aggressive behaviour during their egg laying season. The only two areas where people (especially bike riders or pedestrians walking dogs) may need to be careful are at the Lomond Cres/Grampion Way roundabout and near the bus stop at the park near the intersection of Minker Rd and O’Reilly Drive.

BeCA has contacted Stockland regarding planting appropriate bushes and trees near houses in the new Bellvista II estate. Previous extensions to Bellvista Blvd has seen wattle trees planted along side fences and very close to houses. Wattle plants are well known as being highly flammable.
There has been some feedback on the repeated vandal damage being done to the new toilet block with some residents outraged at the inappropriate behaviour. BeCA has been told, “The sooner we can stamp this business out the better!”. Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious behaviour seen around the new toilet block area to police on 131444, the “Police Link” number.
