The rainfall has been good for the lake clearing some of the red azolla. Though some is still visible among the lillies, much of the stuff appears to have been washed away especially from the top lake. The bottom lake is looking particularly good.
Some mowing around the lake has been done despite the wet grounds but much more needs to be done to get things looking their best. A quick look at the neighbouring Little Mountain Common park area shows mowers haven’t been able to get onto that area for weeks so Bellvista’s parklands look very good by comparison.
We eagerly await the official opening of the new Bellvista Market Place IGA at 10 am on Tuesday December 14th. You can have a quick look at “Opening Specials” by clicking HERE. (Right click on the link and then select ‘Save target/file as’. It is a large 6MB pdf file). As you can see from the photo below the shelves are being stacked in readiness for the opening. It should be a bumper day for Bellvista residents. Click on all photos for a larger view in a new tab or page.
The two photos below show the new baffles which have been installed on the Bellvista Market Place carpark lights. One nearby resident has described the difference in the lighting as “massive”. The other photo shows rubbish bins and bike racks which have also been installed at the Bellvista Market Place. All is in readiness for the “Official Opening” at 10 am, Tuesday December 14th!
