As a part of Stockland’s commitment to liaise with all members of the community, members of the BeCA Management Committee and friends attended an on-site briefing regarding the Halls Creek Proposal today. In the near future, Stockland will be conducting a range of activities where all members of the community can attend and have their questions answered.
There will be a range of experts covering a range of issues on hand to answer questions at these activities.
BeCA will advise residents of these sessions arranged by Stockland as dates and times become available.
The photo shows BeCA committee members and friends on site. Stockland’s Project Director Residential Developments, Adrian Allen, was happy to provide informative information about the Halls Creek proposal, about plans to protect the environment and a range of other issues.
BeCA can also report the realization of a Helicopter Satellite Training Facility continues to progress. Change of Purpose approvals are being sought for the piece of land in question. It is understood that local MP Mark McArdle and Sunshine Coast Council are heavily involved with final negotiations to see the site become available prior to September.
BeCA also welcomes the news that a series of guidelines are being drawn up to ensure that, when ever possible, Becker Helicopters do not use Caloundra Aerodrome for touch n go’s. It is believed that Landing Fees are about to be introduced at Caloundra Aerodrome, making the use of the ‘free’ Satellite Facility more attractive.
BeCA appreciates that not all repetitive circuits will disappear from our skies. Some circuits will be required for certain aspects of pilot training which require practice in an aerodrome environment.
