The de amalgamation of the Sunshine Coast Council will see the area of Noosa form their own Council Area. SCRC is busily making arrangements for some of its workers and machinery etc to be posted back to the new Noosa Council. At one stage it was believed this may have impacted upon members of the valuable Bellvista Council Gardening team.
This team does a sensational job keeping gardens and lawn areas around the estate looking their absolute best. Click on the photo for a larger view.
However the ‘rumour mill’ now has it that there should not be any change to the current team. At this stage it appears the team will remain intact when the ‘official’ decision is made at the end of September. This is great news for all residents.
Just a further reminder of the Bellvista Community Association Annual General Meeting is to be conducted this Monday August 5th at 6:45 pm at the old Land Sales Office in Lomond Cres, just near the tennis court. All residents, landowners and workers within Bellvista and Bells Reach are welcome to attend. The focus of the meeting will be on the future of the old Land Sales Office and an update on Caloundra South.
There remains 1 committee member vacancy to fill.
A reminder to all residents to be vigilant when it comes to securing your property when you are not at home. An unlocked door, window or shed provides an invitation and an opportunity for people to enter your property and steal items. As a community we must support each other and make unlawful entry of property a major issue.
And finally Unity College’s Pastor Phil Smith has requested we add the following to the BeCA Website:
B.E.L.L.S. is on again this Sunday afternoon, August 4th, at the school from 5.00 to 6.00pm.
It’s a casual way to enjoy community and faith – no sitting in rows and no sermon!
This fortnight is pot-luck dinner, so bring something to share (perhaps finger food is simplest). Music from a couple of our year eleven students, good conversation and the theme is ‘Thanksgiving’.
Bring your story: BELLS = Belonging, Eating, Listening, Learning and Sending. You are welcome. Call Phil, the campus minister, with any questions: 0414 823125. You can follow more about this event on the BeCA Facebook Page. (Click HERE)
