It appears we can expect shops to begin business over the next few days rather than many of them be opening for business today. There are still empty shelves at the chemist and the bakery requires some more fitting out.
BeCA has been told that the bright carpark lights will slowly ‘bed in’ over the next weeks and will become a little dimmer. There are regulations which say the lights must meet certain Australian design requirements. Further fine tuning of the Bellvista Market Place carpark lights will continue over the next few weeks.
BeCA has been delighted with the response to residents concerns it has raised with Mal Pratt & Associates. BeCA President Paul Harrison has met with the Bellvista Market Place Site Manager and both are looking forward to working as closely as possible with each other to ensure as many concerns as possible are addressed.
A new Bellvista Market Place entry pathway is to be built between the eastern end of the shopping village and the pathway running along side the water course. See the photo to the left.
Because of the SCRC amalgamation, there has been a refining of Renaming Parks guidelines resulting in BeCA having to re apply for the renaming of the main Bellvista Lake Park to Canavan/Gracie Park. It appears that both the Canavan and Gracie families are delighted with the idea. The updated request for the renaming has now been forwarded to SCRC.
