There are only a few more days to go until the opening of the new Bellvista Market Place. All seems ready for Monday’s first day of business. The final two shops have still not been leased just yet and there remains a slight hold on commencing the construction of the Tavern until another Mal Pratt And Associates project is completed. However construction of the Tavern is expected to commence prior to Christmas.
The new shops expected to open on Monday Nov 1st are:
‘Hairy Haircuts’ (Hairdressing Salon),
Dr. Regina Greenwood (Bellvista Family Medical Practice) and her husband Ross who is the Practice Manager,
‘Kimon Ioannidis – Pharmacy’ (he operates a range of local pharmacies throughout the Sunshine Coast),
Bakery/Cafe owned by Brent and Tanya Duncombe,
‘Day Spa’ owned and operated by Peta Hyde.
It is still expected Luke’s IGA will open on December 6th following the installation of electricity backup generators.
Some concern has been raised by nearby residents on the brightness of the Market Place carpark lights. The developer has been made aware of the concern and actions will be completed to overcome the concern.
