The SCRC has reorganized its Parks and Gardens teams so that one small team is now being permanently situated here at Bellvista. You can read more about this in the post two entries below this one. Wednesdays have been nominated as tree pruning day when extra workers become available to cut back trees which overhang onto roadways. An area of our estate had its roadside trees trimmed back earlier this week. Hopefully all areas of the estate will see overhanging growth from trees trimmed back from roads over the next few weeks.
The team has been replacing trees around the top lake and have tidied up the park gardens between the old Land Sales Office and Bellcarra Retirement Resort. That area certainly looks better for the work which has been done. Click on the photo for a larger view.
BeCA’s Landscaping Sub-Committee Chairperson Bob Smith has made himself known to the leader of the team with a view to liaising with them on issues we locals believe could be addressed.
Scott Armstrong is a part owner of the Bellvista Tavern and has an interesting proposal regarding hours he wishes to present at the Bellvista Community Association AGM on August 6th at the Old Land Sales Office in Lomond Cres just near the tennis court. Scott will be seeking community feedback on his proposal. BeCA has given the suggestion 100% support. Come along to the AGM and participate in the discussion.
BeCA has two Management Committee members who live close to the Tavern and with certain safeguards being implemented, believe Scott’s proposal should be embraced by the community.
