Stockland has informed BeCA that unfortunately roadworks at the Bellvista Blvd/Caloundra Rd intersection will not be completed by the beginning of the school year as had been previously hoped.
Work is progressing well but delays at the beginning of the process has now caused the completion date of all works to be put back to the end of February.
Hopefully all asphalting will be completed by the end of next week. All civil works should be completed by mid February and landscaping the following week.
It is expected that there will be minimal (if any) use required of ‘Stop-Go” procedures during the any of the remainder of the roadworks. This is great news for residents.
If “Stop-Go” procedures are to used they will occur outside all peak road use times.
Electrical signage will be updated over the next few days to reflect this update.
BeCA thanks Stockland for the update on roadworks.
UPDATE: Further news coming to BeCA’s attention is that SC Council should complete the Development Application for the Use of Land Purpose for the temporary Satellite helicopter Training Facility before the end of January, thus paving the way for the vast majority of repetitive circuits by helicopters moving away from Caloundra Aerodrome.
Residents who are at home during week days (retirees, stay at home child carers, shift workers, people on holidays, etc) will be very pleased with this news.
