Very little or no further work appears to have done following BeCA’s meeting with Council’s Jon Presswell and Elliot Lacey back on May 5th. So today, 1 month later, BeCA followed up with further photos and information on the current status of parks maintenance in our newer areas. These areas are now being maintained by a Council Contractor, rather than by Council employees who look after the parks and gardens in Bellvista.
BeCA has been informed that Council will be conducting on site meetings tomorrow with the relevant managers and the contractor to ensure the works discussed between BeCA and Council are responded to. BeCA has maintained observation of the areas of concern and moved today to have the lack of progress acted upon.
BeCA had also received information relating to a line of sight issue at the pedestrian and veloway crossing across Bells Reach Drive/Bellvista Blvd roundabout. BeCA had asked the resident concerned to lodge a Service Request on the issue via the MyCouncil website as is BeCA’s suggested practice. BeCA asks residents to lodge a Service Request and if there is no action, BeCA is happy to follow up later on the resident’s request with Council.
Our Councillor has been kept fully informed of the situation.
Don’t forget the BeCA Public Meeting tonight at 6:45pm at the Bellvista Meeting Place. We have presentations from 106 Caloundra Cadets and the Caloundra Arts Centre Association.
