Below is a “Service Request” submitted by BeCA today concerning the potholes on Bellvista Blvd. Some deletions have been edited to protect BeCA Member privacy. As a resident YOU are also able to make “Service Requests” of the SCRC. You can do so ‘online’ by following this link. Click HERE.
Think of the response from SCRC if all 1250 Bellvista residents forwarded a “Service Request” to SCRC requesting Bellvista Blvd potholes be attended to as a matter of urgent resident safety?
Recently Bellvista Community Association was informed by SCRC that a decision on an urgent road upgrade required on Bellvista Blvd would be put on hold until a Federal Govt decision was made on the development of Caloundra South. BeCA was told that in the meantime SCRC would continue to maintain Bellvista Blvd in a ‘safe’ condition.
This request is that urgent repairs are required on Bellvista Blvd to return it to a ‘safe’ condition. As double B trucks are currently using Bellvista Blvd to deliver building supplies to the display village currently being constructed at Bells Reach, we can expect a greater number of these large heavy trucks to use the road as construction begins on new homes in the next month or so.

9. Details of your request:
Numerous dangerous potholes over a stretch of Bellvista Blvd 150m north and 30m south of the Bellvista Blvd/Dumbarton Drive roundabout. Photos attached.
Photo 01: 20 metres south of the roundabout. Though already repaired, the fill for this pothole has slipped. Already the pothole is returning.
Photo 02: 10 metres north of the roundabout. The fill in this hasty repair has moved as well leaving a nasty hole. Vehicles manoeuvre to dodge potholes 01 and 02 as they enter and leave the roundabout.
Photo 03: Approx 40 metres north of the roundabout. Crocodile cracks indicate this whole section of the road requires urgent attention or potholes will only re appear.
Photo 04 and 05: Approx 100 metres north of the roundabout on either side of the patch where the ‘old crossing point’ was. Again extensive crocodile cracks indicate the under surface is highly unstable and will only turn to potholes in due course.
Photo 06: Shows the extent of crocodiles cracks looking south along Bellvista Blvd towards Dumbarton Drive. This indicates an unstable surface which will only result in future potholes and be a safety issue for vehicles entering and leaving the estate.
