Recently the Bellvista and Bells Reach Community Association (BeCA) conducted an Extraordinary Management Committee Meeting to formulate a response to the closure of 6 Bus Stops in Bellvista and Bells Reach. The closure of these stops has brought great anger from both our community and BeCA.
BeCA Management Committee, a representative from the Bellcarra Retirement Village (Dave Thomson) and Cr Baberowski attended the meeting where thoughts were pooled on what further effective action could be taken
It was decided to draw up a response containing a list of questions and comments on the bus stop closures
It was also decided that this document should go to positions of power where a response would bring about a change in the closure proposals
We would hope that at least a written response or some form of consultation is forthcoming from someone in a position to affect a change to this decision, which was imposed upon our community with short notice and without any prior consultation
To date there has been no response from anyone in government other than from our local Councillor
A copy of the letter (see below) is for the information of the Bellvista, Bells Reach and Arbour residents.
