Do you fully cut up your old bills ensuring your address and other personal information has been destroyed prior to placing them in your recycling bin? How many pieces do you cut your old credit card into when destroying them? Do you use varied and many passwords to protect your online accounts? Have you ever been the victim of ‘identity theft’?
Experiencing identity theft and misuse can have immediate and unforeseen consequences. Sometimes it can take years from when personal information is compromised to when such details are used fraudulently to acquire products and services. Experiencing the theft of personal information and its subsequent misuse can leave you feeling helpless, anxious and confused.
David Lacey is a founder of iDcare and has over fifteen years’ experience in national law enforcement and national security responding to identity theft and misuse threats. All Bellvista and Bells Reach residents are welcome to attend the Bellvista Meeting Place on June 1st at 6:45pm where David Lacey will make a presentation on the National Identity Support Service. This should be a fascinating and interesting night for everyone.
We look forward to seeing you there.
